IN OUR NATURE

Emma is a young woman living in 1969 Bavaria who is struggling to find her purpose in life. When she discovers a magical camera that can show her the future of her actions, her life turns upside down…

SUMMARY

In Our Nature is a first-person narrative photography game set in 1960s Bavaria, following the journey of Emma, a young woman facing a quarter-life crisis. The game blends time travel with a character-driven story, where players use a Future Camera, which’ viewfinder reveals and shapes the future to help Emma navigate her life choices and aspirations. She uses the Future Camera to try and solve the destruction of Germany’s first ever national park, escape a burning house and deal with the grief of losing her father.

FEATURES

  • Future Camera: The core mechanic of the game revolves around a magical camera that shows the future through its viewfinder. By taking a photo, you can make that future real, allowing them to manipulate outcomes of scenes and solve puzzles.
  • 1960s Bavaria: The game is set in the lush, picturesque and historically rich region of Bavaria during the 1960s. The backdrop provides an authentic and immersive environment, enriched with cultural and historical elements, and tells a unique point of view from usual games.
